Confessions of a Boyband Super Rockstar (Who Missed His Calling)

And other tales of a late-career data scientist

My true calling in life was to be a boy band super rockstar international celebrity. Obviously I think I’ve missed that calling. Today I am a data scientist.

This boyband story was thing I would tell myself and others I met throughout my earlier adult years. As a data scientist, my main role is to teach mid and late career professionals how to succeed in data science.

AI Interpretations of how I might look today if I didn’t miss my calling as a boy band super rockstar international celebrity. From an early version of tryiton.ai.

Earlier this month I conducted a 7-hour training seminar for the c-suite at the 9th largest city in the United States. I also conduct one-on-one private boot camp programs for mid and late career professionals who are looking to learn data science skills. Currently one of my favorite students is a musicologist who is learning data science for an opportunity to apply these methods in her research.

Unfortunately I’ve been pretty busy lately and I haven’t been able to write for articles here on medium. So I plan to fix that while I’m on vacation. Because I know a lot of the folks who follow me are not used to hearing from me on a regular basis via medium I wanted to reintroduce myself and what you can expect from me as I write more in the near future.
