A feature that I would be interested in finding among one of these GUIs is one that would produce command line code that would accomplish the related task. Stata is very well known for this feature.

To elaborate and possibly clarify. That means using the GUI in a way to edit a single cell, filter, add records, remove records, reshape the frame, or in general any other data management operation — The tool then executes the data management operation but also provides command line code that would accomplish the same result.

This is handy if you are looking to automate your work. You can use the GUI to figure out what needs to be done, then place that code in the automated script.
