Recently I have been writing about data science portfolio projects that you can complete in a day or less. My goal is to show how you can efficiently make meaningful entries in your data science professional portfolio.

Along the way I’ve been discussing the importance of building your portfolio as a way to help you in your job search. For those who are newer to the field or looking to transition into the field, portfolio entries can be a significant boost for your efforts.

Keep in mind no one strategy is going to be a silver bullet. You also have to work really hard on quality resumes and cover letters. And you also need to work hard on your interview skills. And more.

If you’re looking to add to your portfolio today read below on advice as to how you can make a simple exploratory data analysis into a quality portfolio entry that will support you in your data science job search.

Data Science Portfolio Inspiration

The inspiration for this project came from an author of How to Ace the Data Science Interview, Nick Singh. It was Nick that suggested using your Amazon purchase history and Amazon.com data export as data to practice showcasing your exploratory data analysis skills.
